When the sun is up, and the after-midnight community is still in the land of nod, I’m wide awake, leaning on my need to design and smacking my stamp down on the critical world with the kind of vigor usually reserved for crushing Ford Pintos into cubes. They say it’s a design/work/life, but that’s just my life. I think we’re going to get along swimmingly.

Final silkscreened posters for the Type Show! I made about 15, all in varying colours. This is just a few! I’ve got some blue/red, white, brown/yellow, red/brown, red/white… All the colours! I’ll post some more pictures of different colours later.

This is the show happening at Come Friday TONIGHT! Should be good. I made this using found imagery of Ned Kelly and some anatomical drawings of skulls.

Also coincides with the end of my semester. Coincidence? I think not.

Upcoming event listing poster I made for Come Friday!

Come one, come all, Come Friday!

Final Logo for Cavalier, complete with a brave knight.

My friend Trevor has a weekly Friday night party called Come Friday at a local bar called the Cobalt. I’ve been asked to be the designer for their upcoming posters which is really exciting as you can usually find me there on a Friday night anyways reminding the bartenders of my signature drink.

This is the first poster I’ve made for the series, which ironically, was for my own band. Haha. We’re playing there this Friday, and also releasing our new music video which I am SO excited for. Oh em gee. If you’re in Vancouver- do it. Just come.

Logo for a fictional, high-end used bookstore, Biblio.

The three lines above the name are meant to be symbolic of books on shelves, with one sliding down. It’s also representative of the clean and straight lines of the interior of the store, and the wide spaces and shelves.

All of the packaging set for the Biblio line of products. Notebook trio, magnifying glass, and seasonal gift of fountain pens. For the aspiring writer, or just for the lovers of the page.

Detail shot of the back of the notebook trio gift set.

Sometimes I just let my love/fear/obsession with the 80s get the better of me, and when asked to do a class assignment for a full spread converse ad, NATURALLY I opted to go for a Miami Vice heated night scene.

Makes sense, right? I’m pretty sure that’s what “the kids” are into anyways. Maybe…
